BANGKOK (12 Sept 2008) – Chonburi FC will have the chance to steal the lead at the top of the Thailand Premier League 2008 tomorrow if they can take the full points against second from bottom Army FC.
Army FC have moved out from the bottom of the table following their close 2-1 win over Port Authority last week as they pushed Customs Departments to the lowest rung in the standings. But playing at home should give further confidence to Chonburi to win the full points as they would want to build on their 2-0 win on the road against Krung Thai Bank FC the previous week. Currently, Chonburi occupy the second spot at the table behind Provincial Electric with just one point separating the two sides. Provincial Electric, who were held to a disappointing 1-1 home draw by TOT FC last week, will be up against tenth-placed Chula Sintana this time round. And Chula will be in no compromising mood after their fabulous 4-2 away win over Osotspa M150. BEC Tero Sasana are on third with 45 points and will be looking to close the gap on the leaders when they entertain Coke Bangpra at home. CURRENT THAILAND PREMIER LEAGUE 2008 STANDINGS 1.
