VIENTIANE (27 April 2015) – Defending champions Hoang Anh Attapeu FC lost the momentum to close in on the leaders in the Lao Premier League 2015 when they could only afford a poor 2-2 draw against EDL FC.
After taking the lead through Sopha Saysana in the 22nd minute, Attapeu seemed to have lost steam when they allowed EDL FC to score twice through Burnel Okana in the 45th minute and also Aloun Chalernphan (60th).
But luckily for Attapeu, Vilayouth Saiyabounsou was on hand to nail the all-important equaliser right at the end.
The one point allowed Attapeu to stay on fourth while for EDL, they remained on fifth.
Elsewhere, Young Elephant – the Laos national U23 team which will be playing at the SEA Games this year – held Lao Police FC to a scoreless draw.
SHB Vientiane FC blasted Ezra FC 7-0 to maintain their hold of the league after six matches played.
