YANGON (15 July 2016) – Yadanarbon will have to put the champagne on ice for now following their disappointing 1-0 loss to Zeyar Shwe Myay this week in the Myanmar National League 2016.
Needing just the three points to confirm their position as the top team in the country, Yadanarbon fell to a lone strike from Zeyar Shwe Myay striker Nan Min Aung in the 76th minute away at the Monywa Stadium.
Yadanarbon were missing several key like Aung Thu and Keith Martu Nah due to injuries and this affected their play.
“We lost this match because we couldn’t capitalise on good chances,” said René Desaeyere.
Elsewhere, Yangon United blasted Horizon 6-2, Shan United beat Zwekapin United 2-1, Hantharwady United edged Rakhine United 1-0 as second-placed Magwe beat Southern Myanmar 1-0.
Ayeyawady drew Chin United 1-1 at the Pathein Stadium.
