MANILA (14 July 2015) – Ceres FC failed to keep up the momentum at the top of the United Football League (UFL) 2015 when they were held to an agonizing 2-2 draw by defending champions Global FC.
After scoring two quick goals in the first half through Bienvenido Maranon in the 13th minute and then Manuel Ott seven minutes later, Ceres seemed to have lost focus as they allowed Global to stage a fightback after the break.
Mario Javier Clarino grabbed the first goal right at the hour mark as Misagh Bahadoran then snatched the one point for Global with the equalizer in the 76th minute.
With the one point, Ceres remained on top of the UFL with 34 points from 13 matches played as Global remained fourth with 27 points from the same number of games.
On second is Kaya with Loyola third with the same 28 points.
In the meantime, Green Archers United blasted Team Socceroo FC 4-0 off goals from Manuel Chaffort in the 13th minute, Ronnie Aguisanda (67th), Jovanie Simpron (88th) and Reynald Villareal (90th).
