CAT TELECOM WREST TOP SPOT FROM PORT AUTHORITY

Cat Telecom, which seems to have lost their pace two weeks ago when they slipped to fourth, were back in their dominating ways in mid-week when they blasted six goals past a hapless RBAC University for the easy win.

Oswaldo Freitas’ first goal in the fourth minute enroute to a hat-trick (25th and 26th minute) was just what Cat Telecom needed as Jirawat Sornwichien (13th minute), Keatiyos Chalaeamkhet (18th minute) and Singhanart Kunyangern (35th minute) all added to the scoreline.

The three points allowed Cat Telecom to go top of the table as Port Authority lost their battle of nerves as they went down 4-2 to Nonthaburi despite scoring two early goals off Wuttichai Thintawee (3rd minute) and Tanakorn Santanaprasit (5th minute).

But RBAC realizing how important the game was to Port Authority came charging back soon after that through Piyaphan Rattana (8th and 17th minute),
Piyapong Songpew (10th minute) and Tum Timmanon (38th minute) to deny them the win and three points.

The defeat has left Port Authority on the same 54 points against Cat Telecom although the latter hold a slight advantage on a better 15-goal difference.

Chonburi Bluewave, who were second the previous week, also lost ground as they slipped to third when they allowed TOT to a close 3-2 victory.

Following a first half deadlock, Chonburi were the first to score off Ekapong Suratsawang (21st minute) which was quickly cancelled out by Panomkorn Saisorn four minutes later.

But two quick goals from Nattaphan Narmboonmee (27th minute) and Anuwat Patarn (30th minute) gave TOT the advantage although Chonburi did stage a late reply from Nuttapol Suttirote in the 35th minute.
