VIENTIANE (29 November 2024) – Cambodia emerged as Group A winners of the ASEAN Women’s Cup 2024 as Singapore took Group B at the end of the preliminary round at the National Stadium KM16.
The Cambodian girls slotted two first-half goals through Poeurn Kunthea in the 19th minute and another from Chhit Sapheourn (45th+2) for the 2-0 win over Malaysia and their top place finish in Group B.
On the other hand, Singapore had the 22nd minute goal from Cara Ming-Yan Chang to thank for their slim 1-0 victory over host Laos and their win of Group B.
The semifinals will be played in three days with Cambodia taking on Timor Leste and Singapore entertaining Indonesia.
