PHNOM PENH (6 March 2015) – The Cambodian national squad handed the Singapore Under-22 side a 3-0 beating in a friendly that was played at the Svay Rieng Stadium this week.
Striker Prak Mony Odom were on target in the eighth and 39th minute as Khuon Laboravy added another in the 29th for Cambodia’s win.
“We should not read too much into this win as Macau will be a different order altogether,” said Cambodia head coach Lee Tae Hoon.
Added Singapore coach Richard Bok: “it’s an education for sure.”
Cambodia are preparing for their opening 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Macau on 12 March while the Singapore youngsters will be playing in the AFC U23 qualifiers at the end of the month against China, Laos and Mongolia.
