PHNOM PENH (28 Jan 2012) – The Cambodian national Under-21 squad will be playing two friendly matches against the University of Ulsan team from South Korea this week.
The Korean side had finished as runners-up in the 2011 University League. For the Cambodians, they will be hoping to score a win after losing their last friendly – a 1-0 defeat at the hands of their counterparts from Malaysia last month.
But with the likes of Preah Khan Reach FC and also Phnom Penh Crown FC not allowing their players time off from taking part in the friendlies, it is expected that the game against the Koreans will be testing.
“We still have Chhun Sothearath, Sok Rithy and Prak Mony Udom as well as Phoung Soksana in the squad and they should make their presence felt,” said Cambodian U21 sssistant coach Ieng Saknida.
