PHNOM PENH (31 Jan 2012) – A late strike from Shin Beom Seon gave Ulsan University a hard fought 2-1 win over the Cambodia Under-21 team at the National Olympic Stadium. The two teams had earlier battled to a 3-3 draw in their first friendly.
But this time round, the South Korean side were more confident at the back as they kept off the Cambodian strikers at bay before grabbing the lead off Joeng Jong Hee in the 16th minute.
The home team fought back for long periods as they attempt to get back into the game as the South Koreans trooped off into the dressing room comfortable with the 1-0 lead at the half.
And while the Cambodian youngsters finally gave the close to the 2,000 fans something to cheer when Chan Vathanaka nailed the equaliser eight minutes to the end, there was no stopping the South Koreans from winning when Beom Seon nailed the winner deep in injury time.
