PHNOM PENH (21 April 2011) – Towards making a stronger impression for the AFF Under-16 Championship which will be held in Vientiane, Laos on 7-20 July, the Cambodia U16 will be looking to play five friendly matches in Vietnam.
The Cambodian U16 side under chief coach Daisuke Yoshioka of Japan left for Ho Chi Minh City this week and where they will be based at the Thanh Long Sports Complex.
For the AFF U16 meet, Cambodia are in Group B against Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore and Philippines.
From the 20 players with the national squad, 16 are from the youth team of Cambodian club Preah Khan Reach. Midfielder Hoy Phallin had already made his debut with PKR’s senior team this season.
