PHNOM PENH (5 Nov 2015) – Cambodia thumped Brunei 6-1 in a friendly that was played at the National Olympic Stadium.
Cambodia are using the game as part of their warm up 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against Afghanistan on 12 Nov before hosting Japan five days later.
Goals from Keo Sokpheng, Prak Mony Udom and Soeuy Visal made sure of the win for the hosts as Brunei scored their only goal of the game through Md Fakharazzi Hassan late in the second half.
With Brunei already out of contention for the World Cup qualifiers, they are using the match to tune up for the qualifying round of the AFF Football Championship next year.
