PHNOM PENH (12 Sept 2012) – The much anticipated clash between the Cambodia national team and the Khmer European XI tomorrow has been called.
The match was initially supposed to be played at the National Olympic Stadium to form part of Cambodia’s preparation for the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup next month.
But with the majority of the players involved with this week’s final matches of the Metfone Cambodia League 2012, the planned match for Hok Sochetra and his boys have had to be cancelled.
Preah Khan Reach FC will take on National Police today in the fight for third placing while the final which will be played on 15 September 2012 at the same venue will see former champions Naga Corp FC battling Boueng Ket Rubber Field FC for the 2012 title.
Following the cancellation, Khmer Europeans XI will now take on Phnom Penh Crown FC instead.
