PHNOM PENH (22 August 2012) – The Cambodia national team under new chief coach Hok Sochetra conceded their second loss in five friendlies against local clubs with a 2-1 loss to Preah Khan Reach FC last night at the National Olympic Stadium.
The game was part of the team’s preparation for the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 which will be played in Myanmar in October.
Against Preah Khan, the Cambodian national team struck first off Sos Souhana in the very first minute of play before Preah Khan replied with the equaliser from Prak Mony Udom ten minutes later.
But Joseph Olatubosun made sure of the winner for Preah Khan when he found the back of the net in the 73rd minute of play.
The next game for the Cambodia national side will be against Phnom Penh FC on 25 August 2012 and then Naga Corp FC on 28 August 2012 at the National Olympic Stadium.
They will then play the Philippines national team on 5 September 2012 and then Cambodian Expats on 13 September 2012.
