BANGKOK (21 April 2014) – With defending champions Buriram United struggling to take a firm control of the new Thai Premier League 2014 season, it has given the impetus for Muang Thong United to take charge at the top of the standings.
After nine matches, Muang Thong are on top with 20 points from nine matches played – the same as league newcomers Singhtarua who are on second on inferior goal difference.
On third is Chonburi with 17 points from the same number of matches played while Buriram, are 13th with just 10 points. Buriram, the treble winners in 2013, have been terrible this season after having won only twice, drawing four times and losing thrice.
At the bottom of the table is Air Force, with just four points and who after nine matches, have yet to win a single match.
