BANGKOK (7 July 2015) – Defending champions Buriram United have opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Thai Premier League 2015 following their close 2-1 win over Osotspa this week.
A penalty from Andres Arceo just before the break gave Buriram the advantage before it was cancelled out by Osotspa’s Anthony Mouraith-Komenan in the 68th minute.
But Buriram struck back just eight minutes later when Gilberto Macena fired in the winner for the south-east side to rack up 31 points from 13 matches played.
Bangkok Glass remained on second with 27 points from the same number of matches played as they thumped BEC Tero 5-0 off goals from Darko Tasevski (8th minute penalty), Matthew Smith (25th), Suban Ngernprasert (35th), Lazarus Kaimbi (89th) and Suppasek Kaikaew (90th).
On third is Muangthong United – also with 27 points.
