BANGKOK (15 June 2014) – Defending champions Buriram United moved within three points of leaders Muang Thong United this week following their comprehensive 3-0 victory over TOT SC at the I-Mobile Stadium.
Javier Patino had opened the lead early in the 11th minute before Carmelo Gonzalez doubled the advantage for Buriram in the 27th minute for them to be comfortable at 2-0 at the break.
Captain Suchao Nutnum then unleashed a thunderous freekick on 67 minute for the full points for Buriram to pick up 33 points from 18 matches played.
Muang Thong are still at the top of the heap despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Osotspa M-150 Saraburi. They have garnered 36 points from the same number of matches played.
Second place BEC Tero Sasana were also held to a 2-2 draw by PTT Rayong are also on the same 36 points.
Elsewhere, Singhtarua beat Bangkok Glass 2-1 at PAT Stadium as Air Force picked up their third win of the season with a 4-3 victory against Bangkok United at the Dhupatemiya Stadium.
Samut Songkhram and Songkhla United battled to a scoreless draw at the Ratchaburi Stadium.
