BANGKOK (21 June 2012) – Defending champions Buriram United kept up the pressure at the top of the Thai Premier League 2012 when they beat TTM Chiang Mai 2-0 on the road.
The northeastern side took the lead through Ghana’s Frank Acheampong in the sixth minute before doubling their lead through Ekachai Sumre just before the break.
The win has allowed Buriram to move up to third in the standings just behind second-placed BEC Tero and leaders SCG Muang Thong. But Buriram have only played 11 games as against BEC Tero’s 13 and Muang Thong’s 14 matches played thus far.
