BANGKOK (12 May 2011) – Buriram PEA failed to open up a lead at the top of the Thai Premier League 2011 when they were held to a goalless draw by basement side TTM FC Phichit.
With the one point – only their third thus far this season – Buriram have picked up 30 points from 12 games while Chonburi FC are on second with 27 points and Insee Police United third with 23 points.
In the meantime, Sri Racha grabbed their first win in 12 matches under new chief coach Dusit Chalermsan, who left Vietnam’s Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) last week.
Sri Racha beat Thai Port FC 2-1.
Playing at the Suzuki Stadium, Sri Racha FC slammed the lead off midfielder Supaporn Prompinij just before the break before Siwakorn Jakkuprasart grabbed the equaliser for Port in the 50th minute.
But an own goal from Alif Porji in the 62nd gave the homesters the full three points.
On the other hand, SCG Samut Songkhram and Osotspa M-150 Saraburi battled to a scoreless draw at the Samut Songkhram Stadium.
