BUILD BRIGHT TAKE OVER AT TOP; PHNOM PENH HELD

PHNOM PENH (18 May 2010) – A drab 1-1 draw between Phnom Pen Crown FC and National Defense Ministry FC allowed Build Bright United to take over the top spot in the Metfone Cambodia League following their close 2-1 win over Preah Khan Reach FC.

With the score tied scoreless at the half, Build Bright finally prise open the cagey Preah Khan Reach FC’s defence with two quick strikes (74th and 76th minute) from Nout Sinuon in a three-minute blitz.

And while Preah Khan did pull a goal back three minutes later off Chan Vathanaka, it was just a tad too late to change the inevitable and prevent Build Bright from being the new league leaders.

Phnom Penh Crown on the other hand failed to build on the lead from Srey Veasna in the 24th minute for the full three points when they allowed National Defense Ministry FC to claw back into the game with the equalizer.

Sin Dalin’s goal just four minutes to the end of the first half was all that National Defense needed for both teams to share the point.
