PHNOM PENH (23 May 2010) – Build Bright United FC maintained their one-point lead at the top of the Metfone Cambodia League when they beat Khemara Keila FC 5-1at the National Olympic Stadium.
Nhim Sovanara opened the scoring in the 36th minute as Nout Sinuon then added the first of his two goals three minutes later to put Build Bright 2-0 in front. Khemara then pulled a goal back just five minutes after the restart through Suon Makara before Build Bright then stepped on the pedal to add to their tally with goals from Nout (51st minute), captain Prum Putsithy (56th) and Oum Chandara (79th). The win saw Build Bright picking up 19 points from eight matches – a point ahead of Phnom Penh Crown FC on second. It was not only Build Bright who were the big winners on the day as National Defense Ministry FC also heaped the same 5-1 humiliation on basement side Chhma Khmao. Khim Borey was the hero for National Defense when he struck a hat-trick with goals in the 6th, 56th and 66th minute as Sin Dalin (62nd) and Thong Oudam (82nd) scored the other goals for the win.
