BUILD BRIGHT BACK TO SECOND; NATIONAL DEFENSE MOVE TO FOURTH

Preah Khan had begun the match on second at the table and even though they did take the lead off Khuonla Bravy in the 20th minute, they just could not hold on as they allowed Build Bright to come back into the game.

And striker Onyemerela O. was simply on fire on the day as he scored a hat-trick with goals in the 35th, 62th and 88th minute for the win.

With the three points, Build Bright are just 11 points behind league leaders Phnom Penh Empire FC while Preah Khan slipped to third.

All three teams have played 15 matches in the league thus far.

In the meantime, National Defense Ministry FC strengthened their position in mid-table as they moved up to fourth in the standings following their 4-2 win over Phuchung Neak FC.

Khim Borey (34th minute) and Um Komphiak (41st) were on target for National Defense as they took a 2-0 lead at the breather before Phuchung replied with an early goal in the second half off Chan Pich Chealy in the 52th minute.

Borey was on target again in the 57th minute to restore National Defense’s two goal advantage as Sok Pheng then added the fourth goal in the 80th minute.

Phuchung then scored their final goal of the evening off Heng Sokly nine minutes to the end.
