BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (18 June 2020) – The Brunei government is set to allow football back into action following further loosening up of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After announcing the easing of measures for sports like badminton and golf over the course of the last several weeks, the Brunei government is ready for further announcements.
“We will see collective sports, contact sports, team sports and competitions in the next level of de-escalation,” said Brunei’s Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Abidin.
Brunei are moving into the second phase of the de-escalation plan or Operational Readiness Level 2.
