PHNOM PENH (9 Dec 2015) – Boueng Ket Angkor will take on Buriram United in the final of the Toyota Mekong Club Championship 2015 following their spectacular 3-2 win over Becamex Binh Duong FC on the weekend.
A hat-trick from Chan Vathanaka allowed the Cambodian side to dump the defending Toyota Mekong Cup champions Becamex Binh Duong at the Hang Day Stadium.
Nsi Amougou had given Binh Duong the lead after just 12 minutes off a penalty before Vathanaka made it a grand night for himself and Boueng Ket with the three goals on 40th minute (penalty), 54th and 80th minute.
Nguyen Anh Duc pulled a goal back for Binh Duong two minutes to end but it was too late for a revival.
With the fabulous upset, Boueng Ket will take on Thai Premier League champions Buriram United in the final of the Toyota Mekong Club Championship on 20 December in Bangkok.
