BANGKOK (18 March 2009) – Suratthani Lightning Shrimp scored the biggest win on the first match day of the Thai Futsal League 2009 when they thrashed Sripatum University 9-2 on the weekend.
Anukoon Mini grabbed the first-trick of the new season with goals in the 13th, 37th and 38th minute as Wiwat Thaicharoen (14th), Ekasit Keawkongmuang (18th and 25th), Akapol Klomkleang (26th) and Natee Chusiri (32nd and 39th) scored the other goals for Suratthani’s dominant form. In the meantime, defending champions Port Authority of Thailand did not have the best of start to the new season when they slumped to a 3-1 loss to Chonburi Bluewave. The Suratsawang twins – Eakapong and Eakaphan – were on target in the 28th and 29th minute as international striker Anucha Munjarern then wrapped things up four minutes to the end. Port Authority’s only goal in the exchange was through Chanyut Muangjan in the 25th minute. |
