KUALA LUMPUR (14 March 2016) – As expected defending champions Johor Darul Takzim were back at the top of the Super League after a 2-0 winover Police at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca on Sunday.
But it was what happened outside the stadium that became the talk of the historical city when a trailer ploughed into a more than 20 over vehicles and left a trail of destruction – thanks to the haphazard parking on both sides of the Sungai Udang-Paya Rumput-Ayer Keroh highway during the match. The smash-up occurred at about 10.15pm.
Inside the stadium the Southern Tigers remained as the only unbeaten team after five matches in the 12-team league to regain their place at the top after Felda United temporarily moved up with a 2-0 win over winless Pahang at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Jengka on Saturday.
