KOTA BARU (17 Feb 2018) – The Malaysian Super League (MLS) 2018 season is not even into its first month yet but Sathit Bensoh has already become its first casualty.
Actually, it took the Kelantan FA (KAFA) just two weeks to decide to part ways with Bensoh – following lacklustre outings.
Perhaps, it all began with the Boost Sportsfix Super Cup when Kelantan gave up what would have been their first silverware of the season but instead their loss to Ratchaburi Mitr Phol off a late goal cost them the main prize.
And after picking up just one point from three matches played – loss to Melaka United 2-1, drew 1-1 with Terengganu and then a 3-0 whitewash by Pahang – ultimately cost him his place.
“This is Kelantan’s worst performance in a decade,” said Hussin Deraman, oathe secretary-general of KAFA was quoted in the local media.
Kelantan’s assistant coach Yusri Che Lah has taken over as interim coach.
