BANGKOK (May 3, 2007) – BEC Tero Sasana still maintained their position at the top of the Thailand Premier League 2007-2008 after seven difficult matches of the new season.
The side which features veteran international striker Kiatisuk Senamuang as well as young hotshot Teerathep Winothai in their side will play against Port Authority in their next match this Saturday. BEC Tero, which finished third in the league last season, has thus far collected 16 points from five wins, one draw and one defeat. For defending champion Bangkok University on the other hand, their season has just taken a turn to uncertainty following their 1-0 lost to Indonesia’s Arema Malang in Group F of the Asian Champions League. The loss on the road meant that Bangkok University will not be able to play in the next round of the championship. The side which narrowly edged Osotsapa 150 to the title last season is currently languishing in mid-table of the Thailand Premier League 2007-2008. CURRENT STANDING 1. BEC Tero Sasana 16pts; 2. Royal Thai Army FC 15pts; 3. Chonburi FC 14pts. |
