BANGKOK (7 Aug 2008) – An unexpected 1-0 home loss for BEC Tero Sasana has allowed Provincial Electrical to go top of the Thailand Premier League 2008 following the latter’s close 2-1 victory over Khrung Thai Bank.
Provincial Electric who have been in fine form over the last few weeks have now garnered 39 points from 19 matches from 12 wins, three draws and four defeats. The loss for BEC Tero meant that they are now on third with 36 points from 19 games while Chonburi FC, who beat BEC Tero, have collected 38 points from the same number of games. In the meantime, in the other matches saw Tobacco Monopoly beat Samud Songkram 3-0 as Nakornpratom FC overcame a resilient Port Authority FC side 2-0. Chula Sinthana edged currently fourth TOT FC 2-0 while Bangkok Bank emerged 2-1 victors on the road against Customs Department. Former champions Bangkok University beat Coke Bangpra 2-1 as basement side Army FC picked up yet another point in their scoreless draw against Osotspa M150. The next match day is on Saturday.
