SHAH ALAM (19 Jan 2020) – Bangkok United have won the inaugural Selangor Asia Challenge 2020 after beating the hosts 4-2 on penalties.
The score at the end of regulation was 0-0.
With the win, the side from Thailand also picked up USD 10,000 in prize money.
In the meantime, Persib Bandung of Indonesia came in third in the competition after beating Hanoi FC of Vietnam 2-0.
Two first-half goals from Puji Abdillah (19th minute) and then Beny Oktovianto (39th) were enough for Persib even though the game was abandoned in the second half following the heavy downpour.
