BANGKOK (10 June 2009) – With three wins on a trot, Bangkok Glass FC are now sitting at the top of the Thai Premier League 2009 – albeit just a point ahead of second placed Muang Thong United.
After 13 matches in the league, Bangkok Glass are still undefeated and have amassed 27 points from seven wins and six draws while second-placed Muang Thong are just a point behind from seven wins, five draws and one defeat. On third is Chonburi FC with 24 points, who seem to have lost a little steam after a bright start where in the last two matches they have picked up just a point following their 5-2 home loss to Muang Thong and 1-1 draw against basement side Chula United FC. Defending champions Provincial Electric FC are stuck on eighth at the table after picking up just 15 points from 13 games played. But their slim 1-0 win on the road over Samud Songkram last week have given them just the impetus they needed to get back on the saddle. Their next match will be against Sriracha FC.
