SINGAPORE (30 Sept 2018) – Balestier Khalsa FC played out a scoreless draw against DPMM FC in the Great Eastern-Hyundai Singapore Premier League (SPL) at the Toa Payoh Stadium as both teams remained at mid table.
It was a frustrating night for DPMM’s Ukrainian hit-man Volodymyr Priyomov as the 32-year-old was denied by Balestier’s centre-back pairing of Shaqi Sulaiman and Nurullah Hussein.
Balestier were plucky in the opening exchanges and could have scored after just six minutes, but Vedran Mesec was unable to put his dead ball on target.
DPMM did go close 10 minutes later but captain Azwan Saleh’s free kick could not find the right finish as Balestier continued to threaten.
The loss of New Zealander Keegan Linderboom played to DPMM as they remained content for Singapore Cup tie next week.
