PHNOM PENH (27 March 2012) – Naga Corp FC and Phnom Penh Crown got back to their winning ways when they overcame Build Bright United and Western University in their respective matches in the Metfone Cambodia League 2012.
Naga, who conceded a 4-2 loss to National Police in their first game of the season, bounced back to blast Build Bright 4-0 – with three penalty conversions from Choun Chum in the sixth minute, 52nd minute and 88th minute and a last minute strike from Lawal Onipe Shola.
The loss for Build Bright was compounded further by the red cards on Nhem Sovannara, Reung Bunheing and In Virak in the midst of the six yellow cards being flashed by referee Chi Samedy throughout the tie.
With the three points, Naga moved up to fourth from seventh as Build Bright slipped down to sixth from fifth.
In the meantime, Phnom Penh Crown edged Western University 2-0 with both goals coming in the first half of the game through Emmanuel Kwadwo Frimpong in the 32nd minute and Kouch Sokumpheak in the 44th minute.
