KOTA BAHRU (8 July 2012) – Kelantan made it back to back titles in the Malaysian Super League when they lifted their second crown in two years last night after demolishing Perak 6-0 at home at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium last night.
What made the win this year more memorable was the fact that the east coast side won their second crown with two games to spare. After 24 matches, Kelantan have picked up 57 points – seven more than second-placed LIONSXII of Singapore.
Veteran striker Indra Putra Mahyuddin grabbed a hat-trick with goals in the 16th, 29th and 48th minute to be followed by goals from Mohamad Ghaddar (18th minute), Badhri Radzi (22nd) and Nurul Azwan Roya (39th).
