PHNOM PENH (13 June 2013) – Boueng Ket Rubber Field crashed to back to back defeats in the Metfone C-League when they gave up a comfortable lead to lose 7-5 to Kirivong Sok Sen Chey in a mid-week clash at the National Olympic Stadium.
Last week, Boeung Ket had fallen to their first defeat of the season when they went down 1-0 to Build Bright United.
But this time round and while they were determined to pick up the full points, they certainly did not count on a late fightback from Kirivong.
Bisan George’s hat-trick alongside goals from Sok Pheng and Suong Vireak gave Boueng Ket a comfortable 5-3 advantage with Nwakuna Friday providing the turning point for Kirivong with the two goals and another from Savorn Ratanakvisal.
Akeem Bolaji then scored the fourth goal for Kirivong on 76 minute as Nhem Sovannara then made it an even 5-5 not too long afterwards.
A late blitz off Savorn’s second goal and then Bisan George completing a hat-trick of his own gave Kirivong the well-deserved victory.
