SINGAPORE (29 Oct 2008) – Radojko Avramovic, the head coach of the Singapore national team has short listed 30 players for their defence of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 which kicks off in December, 2008.
This follows the team’s recent scoreless draw they notched in a friendly against Vietnam in Hanoi. Each participating team must submit a list of 30 players by 5 November, 2008 to the Asean Football Federation (AFF) with the final squad of 22 to be announced prior to their departure for Jakarta on 1 December, 2008. The Lions are in Group A of the biennial tournament which will be based in Jakarta where they will be up against hosts Indonesia, Myanmar and Cambodia. Group B are co-hosts Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Laos. SINGAPORE TRAINING SQUAD GOALKEEPERS: Hassan Sunny, Lionel Lewis, Jasper Chan, Hyrulnizam Juma’at.
