HANOI (24 April 2012) – The conflict between the VPF (Vietnam Professional Football (VPF) JS Company and broadcaster VPF has finally been resolved with the latter agreeing to increase the fee being paid out as well as agreeing to share copyright.
AVG agreed to raise the copyright fee from VND6 billion (USD 300,000) per year to VND10 billion (USD 500,000). They have also accepted to share the broadcasting right at the ratio of 40-30-30 – with 40% for national TV broadcaster VTV, 30% for digital TV broadcaster VTC and 30% for AVG.
The agreement signed between AVG and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) was for 20 years.
“The matter is settled,” said Nguyen Duc Kien, the Vice Chairman of VPF.
