MANILA (7 Dec 2012) – Singapore have enough experience in the team to get the better of the Philippines in tomorrow’s first leg semifinal encounter at the Rizal Memorial Stadium here.
“We can deal with them … we have enough experience,” said Raddy Avramovic at the pre-match conference here today.
The Lions coach said that the team had played them in friendlies earlier this year and were aware of their game. “But still, don’t forget, 90% of them are from Europe and so we can expect the game to be physical, just like the last time. I hope the players have learnt (from the loss).”
Like Philippines manager Dan Palami, who said that the friendlies were different as both teams did not have their full complement of players, Avramovic too agreed.
He went on to say that it was up to Singapore how the match turned out. “It is up to us how things work out.”
He added that he was looking at the game as two halves with a long break in between. “It’s like playing two long halves. I feel that the team who is patient will win. But as always, I look at one game at a time. We are looking for the results in this first match and then we will worry about the next.”
