JAKARTA (5 Dec 2012) – If there is any advice Indonesia captain Elie Aiboy has for Thailand in the first-leg semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup this week, it would be to watch out for the crosses from the Malaysian wingers.
Indonesia, the 2010 losing finalists, were denied a place in the semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup this year through two quick goals – all coming from the wings.
“The Malaysians have good crosser of the ball. They were accurate and that gave us a lot of problems when we played them last,” said Elie after his return to Jakarta.
“That is Malaysia’s biggest weapon and obviously the Thais have to be on the lookout. With good speedy wingers, they can give any teams problems.”
Malaysia will play Thailand in the first leg semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on 9 December 2012.
