SINGAPORE (11 Nov 2012) – Three-time ASEAN champions Singapore did not get the outing they wanted in Japan when they fell to a 2-0 loss to Shimizu S-Pulse in a friendly last night.
In the match that was played at the Miho Ground in Shizuoka, the Lions fell to an early 19th minute strike from Genki Omae. The former Japan Emperor’s Cup winner then added the second goal through Naohiro Takahara five minutes to the end.
Singapore’s next friendly will be against the Philippines in Cebu on 15 November 2012.
