KUALA LUMPUR (30 Nov 2012) – Append below are the quotes from the pre-match Press Conference for the match between Malaysia and Indonesia tomorrow. The match will be played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil with kick-off at 2045hrs.
Datuk K. Rajagobal – Malaysia chief coach
“At this stage, the players must know the importance of this game. They must have the confidence to play much better. The mind-set tomorrow is to beat Indonesia.
We will decide on the line up after training this evening. We have to study our opponents well but I think that should there be any changes at all, it will be minimal.
Mohd Azmi (Muslim) has started the last two matches, so we will see. Khyril Muhyimeen has a groin injury and I will have to seek the advice from the physiotherapist if we should risk playing him. We have enough players to switch around with, so we are very confident of the quality of the players that we have.
So far, the players have been playing well and after the game against Laos, we will have to implement the same sense of urgency and pressure play. We need to be aggressive; forward-minded with perhaps counter attack must be particular in their approach.
Andik (Vermansyah), Taufiq, Okto Maniani, Elie Aiboy are the main spark in the team, so we must watch out for them.”
Nil Maizar – Indonesia chief coach
“All the players are in good condition and all can play. We need to have the fighting spirit against a strong Malaysian team. And they have a lot more experience.
So we are hopeful that we can overcome them tomorrow. At this point in time, there are several players whom I still have not decided yet. We will see after training later.
“We must be positive and work hard on the field. We have to think positive and against Malaysia, we must be patient.”
