SINGAPORE (18 Dec 2012) – Their number may be small but Thailand will have at least 300 hundred fans at the Jalan Besar Stadium when they take on Singapore in the first-leg, final match of the AFF Suzuki Cup tomorrow.
Sarana Chaiprasert said that while some fans may travel by flight down to Singapore, others will either take a train or drive from Bangkok.
“The journey will take around 48 hours but some of them are willing to take this journey for their love of the Thai national team,” said Sarana. “They have already started off yesterday and they should in Singapore by today.
“The least we can do is to make sure that will at least have tickets for the match even though we know that the stadium (at Jalan Besar) is rather small.”
For the match, the FA of Singapore (FAS) have provided up to 369 terrace tickets, 50 grandstand and 10 VVIP tickets.
