SINGAPORE (26 Oct 2012) – Three-time ASEAN champions Singapore have lined up matches against the Philippines and Pakistan as their final tests before the team is trimmed down to 22 players from the preliminary registration of 35 players for the AFF Suzuki Cup next month.
The Lions will take on the Philippines on 15 November and then Pakistan four days later. The match against the Philippines will be crucial as Singapore will be looking to avenge the 2-0 loss they suffered the last time the two sides met.
“All players are enthusiastic to win their place in the team but they will have time to do so especially with the two matches that we have lined up,” said Eugene Loo, the team manager of Singapore.
