YANGON (16 Nov 2012) – Myanmar were held to a 1-1 draw in their latest friendly last night when Japanese second division side Fagiano Okayama struck late in the game at the Youth Training Centre in Thuwunna.
The hosts struck early in the eighth minute when a cross from David Htan was put into goal by Kyi Lin.
But Park Sung Hwa (extreme right in pix) and his men was denied victory in front of their home fans when deep in injury time, a floater from Kengo Kawamata was headed in by the waiting Kasuma Okazaki.
Myanmar will be playing a second friendly against the same opponents tomorrow at the same venue.
For the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012, Myanmar are in Group A against hosts Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. Their first game is on 24 November 2012.
