JAKARTA (16 Oct 2012) – Djan Faridz, the Indonesian Housing Minister has promised a house for each and every player in the Indonesian national team if they can lift the AFF Suzuki Cup for the first time ever this year.
Indonesia have been placed in Group B of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 where they will be up against defending champions Malaysia, Singapore and Laos in Kuala Lumpur.
”Minister Djan had extended the reward offer to team captain Elie Aiboy (pix),” said Habil Marati, the Indonesian team manager. “The Minister said that the whole country is appreciative of the sacrifices and the commitment of the players for the Indonesian national team. And it is for that reason he has promised to give the players a bonus which is a house each for all the players.”
Other than offer of a house, the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) had also earlier promised scholarships for all players to study at the Gunadarma University if they are successful in their campaign this year.
”Gunadarma University has agreed to give the scholarships which is for us a positive way forward for Indonesian football,” added Djohar Ariffin, the president of the PSSI.
