JAKARTA (8 Nov 2012) – Following several cancellations earlier, the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) have now announced Cameroon as their next opponent in the run up to the AFF Suzuki Cup at the end of the month.
Halim Mahfudz (pix), the general secretary of the PSSI made the announcement last night.
“The national team will get the two matches that they are looking for. They will take on Timor Leste on 14 November and then Cameroon two days later,” said Halim.
Earlier plans to play against the Philippines and Sudan fell through which gave Indonesia national coach Nil Maizar countless nights as he look to whip up a squad capable of taking on Malaysia, Singapore and Laos – their opponents in Group B.
“Both matches against Timor Leste and Cameroon will be played at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium so that the team will not be under stress of having to travel,” added Halim.
