JAKARTA (7 Oct 2013) – Italian giant AS Roma are scheduled to play one match against the Indonesian XI on 16 November at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
“We are very enthusiastic to play this game against AS Roma in November. Indonesia have a very big fan base when it comes to football and certainly this is another treat for them,” said Arif Wicaksono, the chief executive officer of organizer Nine Sport.
The one-off game falls on FIFA calendar for international matches.
“We are committed to extend the reach of AS Roma. This game is a very important step for us to expand into Indonesia and also Asia,” said AS Roma chief executive officer Italo Zanzi.
“We understand that we have a big fan base Indonesia and we can’t wait to get a taste of football in Jakarta.”
