JAKARTA (23 April 2010) – Andi Darussalam Tabusalla and his assistant Chandra Solehan have been given the task to manage the Indonesia national team to the Asean Football Championship which will be held in December this year.
The duo was in charge of the Indonesia SEA Games team in Laos last year which failed to make the cut for the semi-finals of the biennial championship. The FA of Indonesia (PSSI) president Nurdin Halid, who was accompanied by secretary general Nugraha Besoes, made the announcement earlier this week. In the meantime, PSSI will only announce the name of the new Indonesia national coach next month considering that they are still in negotiations with two coaches. It is believed that PSSI after exhausting seven names previously have trimmed it down to just two candidates to fill the position left by Benny Dolo. The two coaches are Ruud Krol from Holland and former Vietnam national coach Alfred Riedl from Austria. “We are still in talks with them in as far as their contracts and salaries are concerned. In all possibility, we might finalise it by next week,” added Nugraha. |
