PALEMBANG (22 Nov 2010) – Indonesia made it all too easy against Timor Leste when they powered to a 6-0 win over their hapless neighbour at the Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang last night.
The goalscorers for Indonesia were Mohd Ridwan (12th minute), Okto Maniani (26th), Christian Gonzales (37th and 46th), Bambang Pamungkas (70th) and Yongki Aribowo (83rd). “I think that we had an average night – not great but not bad either. I was hoping for a much better performance than what was shown tonight although I admit that it was tough to play against a side which is committed to defending the whole night long,” said Alfred Riedl, the chief coach of Indonesia. “We still have some ten days before our first game of the AFF Suzuki Cup against Malaysia. I have identified the core of the team although we still have a game against Taiwan to play for and the chance for the other players to fight their place.” Indonesia’s next friendly match will be against Taiwan in three days at the same venue of the Jakabaring Stadium here in Palembang. |
