SINGAPORE (30 Jan 2014) – The Courts Young Lions team battled to drawn matches in their first three friendlies of the Tour of Turkey as they look to inject more confidence into their S-League campaign which begins next month.
The team under Aide Iskandar opened their sojourn in Antalya with a scoreless draw against Turkish division side Antalyaspor’s reserves, before coming from behind for a 1-1 draw against the Azerbaijan Under-21 side.
In their third friendly, the young Singapore side grabbed the lead before they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Denmark U21 squad.
The Courts Young Lions’ next match will be against the Slavia Prague on 8 February.
