YANGON (Sept 8, 2007) – The AFF Women’s Introductory Coaching Course was officially opened by secretary general of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, U Thaung Htike, at the Myanmar Football Federation’s Goal Hotel here today.
In his opening address, Thaung Htike,who is also the director general of the Sports and Physical Education Department, said the course was important in raising the level of the game in the region. This afternoon’s function was also attended by AFF’s Datuk Yap Nyim Keong, who is also the Course Coordinator, FIFA Instructor Ms Monica Staab and Myanmar Football Federation president, U Zaw Zaw. The coaching course, which began yesterday and will conclude on Sept 11, is being attended by 24 participants from Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
